SURYA STRENGTHENS HARDLINES OFFERING WITH EXPANDED LIGHTING AND ACCENT FURNITURE COLLECTIONS

More than 100 lamps and 50 accent furniture pieces to debut at High Point

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — Surya continues the aggressive expansion of its lighting category, bringing the total number of lamps in the Surya line to more than 600. Additionally, Surya is growing its accent furniture collection in both breadth and depth by adding 50 new pieces, including center, accent, nesting and side tables, as well as benches, stools and ottomans – for both indoor and outdoor use.

Lighting Surya’s latest lighting introductions include a considerable number of value priced lamps, offering more stylish options at entry-level and mid-level price points. The Surya team worked hard to incorporate direct customer feedback into the products – including the creation of a lighting design task force – to ensure the rapid development of highly relevant designs. Catering to its designer customers, the company has also added a wide array of lamps over 30-inches and increased the number of task and floor lamps in the assortment.

“Countless resources have been allocated to lighting from product development to customer service, inventory and merchandising,” says John Haste, senior vice president of business development at Surya. “Our goal is to be as much of a destination for lighting as we are for rugs and textiles. Because of increasing efficiencies and focus on value across the pricing spectrum, over the past year, Surya’s aggregate pricing for lamps has decreased and we are able to pass those savings on to our customers, which is rare within the industry.”

In addition to offering value, staying in front of design trends is a paramount initiative at Surya. With an entire team dedicated to researching and anticipating trends, the new lighting and accent furniture collections touch on various styles, from updated traditional to modern to casual, and can be effortlessly coordinated with Surya’s rugs and textiles offerings, making it easier to pull rooms together.

“Consumers want their homes to reflect their personal style, and we have accessories in a wide variety of designs at every price point to make that possible,” says Lynne Meredith, vice president of product development at Surya. “Our hardline accessories like lamps, art, mirrors, decorative accents and accent furniture, provide an easy way to bring style into a space without investing a lot of money. We want designers, retailers and consumers alike to think of Surya as go-to resource for coordinating accessories, regardless of their budget and style preferences.”

High Point Market attendees are invited to visit Surya at Showplace 4100 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily to explore all of the brand’s latest introductions. All products displayed in the showroom will be ready to ship within the spring market season.
