SURYA TO SHOWCASE INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTIONS AND RICHLY TEXTURED DESIGNS AT HIGH POINT MARKET

CALHOUN, Ga. — March 24, 2015 —

Surya will unveil hundreds of new products across all categories at this spring’s High Point Market. Supporting the home accessory brand's goal of simplifying the shopping experience, the introductions include fashion forward designs for a broad spectrum of lifestyles and budgets.

A number of new pillow collections are set to make their debut, bringing Surya’s pillow offering to more than 1,300 options across a wide array of colors, materials and styles. Featured collections will include:

  • Facade | Structure | Wright – Highly structured, textural designs that use fabric manipulation techniques like iron pressing and pinning and sewing to impart a three-dimensional quality
  • Charade | Harvey | Perimeter – Vibrantly-hued chain stitched designs with overscaled organic motifs and repeating geometric patterns
  • Somerset – A budget-priced collection with printed geometric, floral and abstract designs in a range of brights, neutrals and muted hues for easy mixing and matching

Among the new rug designs on display will be collections utilizing novel material combinations and constructions, including:

  • Adeline – A hand-woven wool base is accented by an intricate embroidered motif in viscose and cotton for subtle sheen and a timeless yet modern look.
  • Felicity – A printed design with bold, expressive brushstrokes brings movement and energy to the floor in this machine-made design.
  • Korva – A plush shag center framed by a hand-woven global motif finished with oversized tassels lends a well-traveled, vagabond feel.
  • Bayburt | Flen | Masha | Soma – A partially erased design creates a distressed, vintage look in these luxe, hand-knotted collections.

Surya’s new bedding line, which includes more than 50 designs in a range of distinctive looks, fabrics, colors and styles will also be showcased, as will new designs across all home accessory categories, including lighting, wall decor, throws, accent furniture and decorative accents. Market attendees will also have the opportunity to view a wide assortment of Surya’s outdoor offerings, including recently introduced lighting, ceramics and mirror categories and significantly expanded rug, pillow and pouf collections.

“We understand that consumers come to a designer or to a retail store with a diverse range of lifestyles and budget needs,” said Satya Tiwari, president, Surya. “These consumers are seeking to build looks that not only meet their practical needs but that also let them express their design vision in a meaningful way. And, that requires lots of options. Our latest designs, along with more than 30,000 existing rugs and accessories and new made to order art and rug programs, enable us to offer truly limitless design possibilities for any style or budget. We look forward to sharing our impressive lineup of new products with market attendees.”

As always, the latest trends will be spotlighted within a series of artfully-curated vignettes located throughout the Surya showroom, providing fresh design inspiration and merchandising ideas designed to help retailers and designers build a successful accessories business.
