SURYA PARTNERS WITH ELLE TO INTRODUCE RUG AND PILLOW COLLECTIONS WITH PARISIAN FLAIR

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — Oct. 4, 2016 — Surya will debut at High Point Market a new line of signature rugs and pillows developed in collaboration with international lifestyle brand ELLE. Designed to reflect the brand's traditional Parisian roots, the collections – which are licensed under the ELLE DECOR name – artfully merge the chicness of Paris city life with touches of femininity, modernity and unexpected elements to deliver trend forward looks for a wide range of lifestyles.

"The ELLE brand is focused on the Parisian lifestyle, and a woman who is confident, informed, independent and authentic," said Eva Platini-Hernandez, marketing manager, ELLE Licensing. "The new rug and pillow collections designed in partnership with Surya incorporate these attributes into beautiful, statement-making lifestyle products that honor the tradition of classic French style while bringing a modern day twist."

Since its inception nearly thirty years ago, the ELLE brand has been a recognized name in fashion and home decor. Driven by an eclectic spirit and a passion to mix styles, influences and trends in new ways, the brand focuses on creating products that are accessible to all while allowing each individual to stand out in a crowd. Also under the brand's umbrella are leading fashion magazine ELLE, and interior design magazine ELLE DECOR, a global decorating and design source for consumers who want to create a more beautiful life.

"With its modern chic, Parisian aesthetic, the ELLE brand adds European flair to the Surya range," said Lynne Meredith, vice president of product development, Surya. "These versatile new collections complement a diverse array of lifestyles and interiors, while capturing the distinctive essence of French living. We look forward to sharing these inspired new designs with market attendees."

ELLE DECOR rug collections making their debut at market include:

  • D'Orsay – Hand loomed of wool with a medium pile and printed design, the D'Orsay collection's partially erased traditional motifs are brought to life in softly muted pastels for a vintage, Parisian look that is both modern and classically chic.

  • Intermezzo – Classic geometric designs in sophisticated neutrals and grays impart a timeless, elegant look in the Intermezzo collection, hand tufted of New Zealand wool with Tencel accents for rich luster and softness underfoot.

  • Lina – The Lina collection, hand tufted of rich New Zealand wool, pairs an assortment of bold geometric shapes with muted brights in daring combinations for a cheerful, energetic look with a distinctively modern feel.

Coordinating pillow collections to be introduced include D'Orsay, crafted of linen and cotton with a printed design; Intermezzo and Lina, both woven of cotton with an embroidered motif; and Reda, constructed of linen and cotton with a quilted design and metallic thread accents.

"As we look for partners to help us design and develop new collections, we look for the experts in the industry," added Samantha Scragg, product manager, ELLE Licensing. "Surya has such a wonderful reputation in the market, and their products show dedication to quality, innovation and trends. Their designers truly understand the value of brand identity and worked with us hand in hand to maintain a clear message for the ELLE brand."

The official launch of the ELLE DECOR rug and pillow collections will be held on Monday, Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to noon during a special presentation in the Surya showroom, titled "ELLE DECOR – 30 Years of Style, Inspiration and Joie de Vivre."
